Spectre (1977)
Robert Culp is a Sherlock Holmes of the occult, called in by a rich brother and sister. She thinks he’s gone over to the dark side; she thinks he’s insane. This TV-movie was meant as a series pilot; when it wasn’t picked up, it was sold overseas as a feature film. (This version came from the Sci-Fi Channel, as the intro shows.)
Director: Cliver Donner
Writer: Gene Roddenberry (also Executive Producer) and Samuel A. Peeples
Cast: Robert Culp, Gig Young, John Hurt, Gordon Jackson, Ann Bell
Review:
It’s not entirely successful; the story seems confused and a bit muddled, and it’s a little too low key for its own good, but it also has a unique feel to it that makes me wish it had made it to a series; I would like to have seen the directions it would have gone.

I have a suspicion that David Icke saw this movie: it’s got a group of upperclass/ Establishment types involved in debauchery and human sacrifice at the behest of a shapeshifting man-sized lizard in a cloak, which is much the same as The Biggest Secret.
